Man Injured In Attempted Robbery

Police say that on March 13th at 11:20 p.m. at the intersection of 1st and Baker Streets, a 35-year-old male was approached by a black male brandishing a handgun.

Police tell us a struggle began between the two men, and the victim reported hearing 3 shots fired.

The suspect fled after the gun went off. Police say the victim went back to his car and proceeded to try and drive when he noticed he had been shot in the right arm and right leg.

The victim called police and was taken to MCV Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries.

Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 780-1000.
