RICHMOND, Va. (AP) - The Virginia State Police say they have confirmed a fourth weather-related traffic fatality.
Police say a 28-year-old Christopher Wright of Hampton died following a single-vehicle crash in Hampton on Wednesday.
Authorities say Wright's car was entering the ramp from Hampton Roads Center Parkway to westbound Interstate 64 when it ran off the right side of the road. The car struck a light pole and then struck a tree.
The crash is still under investigation. Officials say it was caused by a combination of speed and wet road conditions.
Police had previously said three people died Thursday in weather-related traffic crashes.
