A Henrico man convicted of impersonating a police officer and attempted abduction will serve three years in prison for his crimes.
Shay Mann was sentenced in a Henrico courtroom Tuesday to eight years. The judge suspended five years of the sentence, leaving Mann serving the mandatory three years.
Mann was convicted in August of impersonating a police officer, attempted abduction and weapons charges for an incident in February. Police said Mann used flashing lights to pull over a woman near the intersection of Parham Road and Patterson Avenue.
Mann allegedly showed the woman a fake badge and ordered her into his vehicle, but a passerby intervened, scaring him off.
