Huguenot High School's marching band has been invited to play at a college football bowl game, but they need help funding the trip.

The band needs about $12,000 to pay for the trip to Atlanta to play in Chick-fil-A Bowl at the Georgia Dome December 31. There, the band will perform in front of 75,000 fans during pre-game and halftime festivities.

The deadline to collect the funds is December 1. Band leaders and members petitioned Richmond's City Council Monday asking for help.
