WASHINGTON (AP) - After three straight walk-offs, the Washington Nationals went for a cakewalk instead, scoring six runs in the third inning Tuesday night as they ran their winning streak to eight games with an 8-1 victory over the Arizona Diamondbacks. Stephen Strasburg allowed one run and three hits over a season-high eight innings.

WASHINGTON (AP) - Washington Nationals outfielder Nate McLouth is out for the season because of an injured right shoulder. Manager Matt Williams said Tuesday that McLouth will have surgery Thursday for a torn labrum and is expected to recover in time for spring training.

CHICAGO (AP) - Chris Tillman threw eight strong innings and the AL East-leading Baltimore Orioles won their third in a row, beating the Chicago White Sox 5-1 Tuesday night. Nick Hundley homered, Chris Davis had a two-run double and Adam Jones and Delmon Young also drove in runs for the Orioles.

WASHINGTON (AP) - Robert Griffin III still can't seem to avoid getting clobbered. The debate that was so prevalent under former coach Mike Shanahan remains under new coach Jay Gruden, even though Gruden is trying to mold Griffin into less of a runner and more of a pocket passer.
