In 2001 she won a scholarship from the South Carolina Broadcasters Association. That same year the Poynter Institute, a leader in the journalism industry, accepted her for a very competitive position at a one week, intensive reporting seminar in St. Petersburg , Florida.
In her free time Kim enjoys reading, listening to music, skiing and spending time with her family and friends.
