A Petersburg man is missing after leaving Central Virginia for a hiking trip along the west coast. 60-year-old John Donovan was hiking on the Pacific Crest Trail, which runs from Mexico to Canada. He was last seen in early May. Donovan recently retired from his job as a social worker at Central State Hospital in Petersburg.
