8News did some further digging in the Behl case, specifically into Ben Fawley, one of the people police questioned following her disappearance. Fawley is now facing 16 pornography counts.
The public defender representing Ben Fawley has stepped away from the case. The attorney Chris Collins originally retained to handle media inquiries regarding Fawley's relationship with 17-year-old Taylor Behl, will now defend him against 16 counts of possession of child pornography.
The Virginia Attorney General's office is working with Richmond authorities on the case. Deputy Attorney General Richard Campbell tells us he believes real children ages 1 through 14 were used to make the sex movies allegedly found in Fawley's home.
"In a case of a person who's skilled in photography it's likely you're going to be dealing with real images- there's no need to morph images," Campbell said.
Police seized multiple computers during two separate searches of Fawley's home. Prosecutors tell us more child pornography charges are pending. Campbell is confident his office will work with Richmond authorities to successfully prosecute Fawley and is prepared to combat possible defense tactics.
"I'm very confident that law enforcement has done a good job in this search warrant. It's not the first time that I've heard a defendant say it's not mine whether it's in regard to drug possession or possession of child pornography," Campbell added.
