Henrico County Police are investigating what caused a county school bus to slam into a house on Wheelwood Way early Monday morning.

According to Police, the bus, which was not loaded, lost control in the 700 block of Wheelwood Way in the eastern part of Henrico. The bus overcorrected, jumped the curb, and slammed into a house.

The occupants of the home were upstairs asleep at the time of the crash. No one was injured in the accident.

Investigators are trying to determine if mechanical failure may have played a role in the accident. Stay with 8News for updates.
