Chesterfield County officials are urging residents to prepare for Tropical Storm Hanna immediately.

County officials are providing all suggested storm preparations on their Web site HERE, as well as at Chesterfield County libraries.

Chesterfield also owns and operates its own AM emergency radio station, located at 1630 on the AM dial.

County police, fire and other emergency officials will be staffing the County's emergency operations center to facilitate rapid response.

"Be prepared by staying informed of the escalating incident, having a family preparedness plan and an emergency kit for all family members," said Emergency Management Coordinator, Lynda F. Price.
