RICHMOND, Va. (AP) - Two dogs in Henrico County are under a 45-day quarantine after a raccoon they killed tested positive for rabies.
Henrico Police Lieutenant Doug Perry says the raccoon wandered into a fenced-in backyard in the 5400 block of White Oak Circle on Monday. Testing conducted by the State Lab showed the raccoon was rabid.
Perry says the dogs' owners were notified by the health department and the dogs were placed under quarantine.
