Investigators are searching for the cause of an overnight house fire that left a Henrico County home destroyed.
According to Henrico Fire Officials, the blaze broke out in the 11000 block of Mill Road around 1:15 a.m. Wednesday. The two people living inside the home were able to escape unharmed.
Officials say the fire started in the garage before spreading to the main structure. The roof of the home eventually collapsed.
At least 45 firefighters were called to battle the fire. Crews on scene said getting water to fight the fire was difficult because of the home's rural location.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation. Stay with 8News for updates.
