A local landmark roller coaster will make its last run later this year.
The Big Bad Wolf, after 25 years of thrilling riders at Bush Gardens Williamsburg, will hear its last screams on September 7, 2009.
An online release said the roller coaster will be demolished because it has "simply reached the end of its service life."
Busch Gardens Williamsburg officials said the park has not decided what will replace the popular ride.
Officials also said the Loch Ness Monster coaster, which is older than the Big Bad Wolf, will remain in service.
