WRIC Richmond News and Weather - Thieves Steal Thousands Of Dollars In Gas

Thieves hijacked $20,000 worth of gas from a business in Prince George County.
We are told workers at Wilkinson Oil Company arrived early Sunday morning to find the gate open, their trucks missing, fuel spilled everywhere and a trail of gas leading down the parking lot -- headed towards Interstate-95 North.
Gas Theft victim Robert Wilkinson, Junior says, "We figured out they filled both of the trucks up with on road fuel, off road fuel and regular gas."
The bandits stole 5,000 gallons of fuel, most likely destined for the black market.
We are told one of the hijacked trucks has been located, abandoned in Maryland; but the second truck has yet to be found.
Anyone with information about this gas heist is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 733-2777.
