Emergency Repair On Broad Street Bridge

VDOT has issued the following release on the emergency joint repair on the Broad Street Bridge:

BROAD STREET WEST EMERGENCY BRIDGE REPAIR OVER I-95

Work expected to continue through 8 p.m.

Broad Street west bridge over I-95 (Richmond) – Expect delays and alternating lane closures on the Broad Street bridge (westbound only) over I-95 and on I-95 (both directions) near exit 74C today from 1-8 p.m. for emergency bridge joint repair. Crews will complete temporary repair today and reschedule a permanent repair next week, as the weather permits.

Drivers are encouraged to use Chamberlayne Avenue (Exit 76A) to Belvidere Street to access Broad Street. Drivers can also take the Downtown Expressway (Exit 74A—toll) to access downtown Richmond. Expect delays on I-95 at Broad Street, particularly during rush hour.
