PETERSBURG, Va. (AP) - The burglar or burglars hitting businesses in Petersburg have a taste for menthol cigarettes.
At least nine businesses have been struck this year, including two on Tuesday. Large quantities of menthol cigarettes were stolen each time. Lottery tickets also were taken in some of the burglaries.
Police don't know whether the burglaries are related, or whether more than one person is involved.
Petersburg Police spokeswoman Esther Hyatt says police also are trying to determine what is happening to the cigarettes.
