CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. (AP) - At least 300 bloggers and social media experts in the wine industry are planning to gather in Virginia for a national conference next year.

Gov. Bob McDonnell announced Wednesday that the three-day national 2011 Wine Bloggers Conference will be held in Charlottesville next July.

Virginia is now the nation's fifth largest wine producer and seventh largest commercial grape producing state. McDonnell says Virginia wineries are garnering lots of attention and the conference will help attract more visitors to the state and its wineries.
