Virginia Attorney General Bob McDonnell announced plans to help area food banks today. The first statewide "Legal Food Frenzy" will run April 2nd through the 13th. We're told it's designed to be a competition among Virginia law firms to raise food and funds for their local food bank.
Attorney General Bob McDonnell says, "The problem with hunger is still something that needs to be addressed in our state and the communities all over."
We are told officials hope to collect as much as 500,000 pounds of food.
