Petersburg Police still searching for answers 13 years after teen's murder

PETERSBURG, Va. (WRIC) -- Questions remain more than a decade after a Petersburg teen was murdered.

Petersburg Police took to Facebook this week hoping to have those questions answered and find the killer or killers of 18-year-old Deandre Jovon Thomas.

Just after 8:30 a.m. on Oct. 23, 2005, police were called to the back of a home in the 100 block of Liberty Street for a body that had been discovered. Arriving officers found Thomas dead.

Petersburg Police say that for almost 5 years, detectives have received no new leads in this almost 13-year-old case.
