Wrong number! Chesapeake woman claims she's received hundreds of calls, texts meant for Briante Weber

RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) -- A Chesapeake woman says hundreds of people have been trying to reach out to former VCU star Briante Weber and wish him continued success as he pursues a professional career in the NBA. She knows because she claims his old phone number now belongs to her work cell.

Sara Dreyer took to Facebook over the weekend and wrote an open letter to Weber letting him know that she's fielded hundreds of phone calls and texts from friends of Weber's who apparently are unaware he changed his digits after turning pro.

"You don't know me and I didn't know you, until I got your old phone number. I'm overwhelmed with all the text and phone calls for you."

Dreyer claims she even accepted a Facetime from someone who was -- understandably surprised to see her face answer the call.

"I answered of course imagine their surprise when this girl answered (I'm your basic white girl) that's when they told me who you were. So yay!"

She says she'll continue to reply to Weber's fans with excitement and enthusiasm, but encouraged Weber to let his friends know that they may have a wrong number.

So keep up the good work and can you maybe...please... possibly let your fan followers know you're all right and that I'm not some drug lord or secret agent that has commandeered your phone? Thanks man many wishes and hey good luck! I'll keep answering your phone calls and text with enthusiasm and excitement!
