Many people struggle to pay for care at nursing homes and assisted living facilities. Starting this week you may be able to enroll in a special long-term care plan from the state of Virginia.
The Virginia Retirement System's new plan is aimed at home health care, assisted living facility care, adult daycare, and nursing home care. One major incentive is that if you have health conditions you're able to enroll in the plan without any health questions asked of you. Long-term care is guaranteed even if you have a pre-existing condition.
Requirements for eligibility:
~ You must work for a state agency, a public university or receive a VRS benefit if you're retired.
