Darragh Copley

Darragh Copley is glad to be back in the Commonwealth. She is a Fredericksburg native that most recently worked as a reporter at WIS-TV in Columbia, SC.

Darragh graduated from the University of South Carolina with a Bachelor's degree in Broadcast Journalism. While at WIS, she covered a variety of stories, and especially enjoyed covering the Gamecock baseball team winning the 2010 National Championship.

She also worked in television in Central Virginia and was honored by Central Virginia's Most Wanted Task Force and the City of Richmond Police Department in her efforts in capturing dozens of wanted fugitives.

Darragh got her start at WFLS in her hometown of Fredericksburg.  At WFLS, she received several Associated Press awards, including the Douglas Southall Freeman Award for public service through journalism.

She loves playing and watching all sports. If she's not cheering on her Gamecocks, then she's rallying for her husband's Hokies, and she also cheers for her sister-in-law who plays basketball at Georgia Southern.

Darragh has a special place in her heart for the Armed Forces, her brother serves in the Navy and her brother-in-law is in the Air Force.
