One Dead In Chesterfield County Crash

Update from Chesterfield County Police:

CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, VA – The Chesterfield County Police Department has released the identity of a teen who died at the scene of a two-vehicle crash on Thursday, Oct. 13.

The crash occurred in the 6200 block of Qualla Road at about 8:10 p.m. on Oct.13. Police said a 2003 Nissan 350Z was traveling south on Qualla Road when the driver lost control, crossed into the northbound travel lane and struck a 2001 Volkswagen Cabrio.

The driver of the Nissan, Gage M. Edwards, 17, died at the crash scene. The passenger in the Nissan and the driver and passenger of the Volkswagen were transported to VCU Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries.

Police continue their investigation into this crash.

CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, VAThe Chesterfield County Police Department is investigating a two-vehicle crash that killed one driver. The crash occurred in the 6200 block of Qualla Road at about 8:10 p.m. on October 13, 2011.

Police said a 2003 Nissan 350Z was traveling south on Qualla Road when the driver lost control and crossed into the northbound travel lane and struck a 2001 Volkswagen Cabrio going northbound.

The 17-year-old- driver of the Nissan 350Z died at the crash scene. The passenger was transported to VCU Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries. The driver and passenger of the 2001 Volkswagen were also transported to VCU Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries.

Police continue their investigation into this crash.
