The National Gallery for America's Young Inventors (a program of the National Museum of Education) is the country's official organization established to archive the great ideas of America's youth and preserve them forever in history. Each inductee is either a national invention competition winner, a patent holder, or has his/her product on the national market. The five inductees have been chosen by the National Gallery's Student Board of Directors, which is composed of students from across the nation. The National Gallery is sponsored by the Thomas Edison Innovation Foundation, Newark, NJ.
This year's speaker, Micah Toll, is a 2007 inductee into the National Gallery for America's Young Inventors for his New Technology for Portable Construction Elements for Disaster Response Relief & Recovery Efforts. He is currently operating a handful of small companies and is continuing his work by developing Pulse Motors, a start-up company designing & building personal electric vehicles. As a senior in Engineering at the U. of Pittsburgh, he has received numerous honors and was the 3-time winner of their "Big Idea Competition".
