Central Virginia has a shot at some snow showers as a strong cold front moves across the region Saturday.
Rain is expected Friday evening into Saturday morning, when a few wet flakes could mix in, with no snow accumulation. Then, as a cold front sweeps through, snow showers are possible Saturday evening.
That second round of snow showers could produce some light accumulations, mainly on grassy surfaces.
High winds are expected Saturday evening, as well as sharply colder temperatures Saturday night and Sunday.
