The fatal shooting of a man in the Deer Run neighborhood of Chesterfield has been ruled a justifiable homicide.
Chesterfield police announced Friday no indictments will be filed in connection to the shooting death of Gordon T. Ragland II, who was killed in the 13800 block of Buck Rub Drive last May.
Police initially responded to that scene for reports of a domestic disturbance involving Ragland. Responding officers found Ragland suffering from a gunshot wound. He died shortly after police arrived.
Police interviewed several witnesses to the incident before deciding not to file charges.
