A car crashed into a power pole in south Richmond just after 1 p.m., knocking out power to thousands in the area.
The crash happened at the intersection of Jahnke and Hioaks Roads just after 1 p.m. Police said a car slammed into a power pole at the intersection, causing an outage to about 4,000 customers.
The driver of the vehicle was reportedly injured, but the extent of injuries is unknown.
