A small plane had to make an emergency landing in Powhatan late Friday afternoon.
The plane landed in the vicinity of Old Buckingham Road and VA-609; also known as Giles Bridge Road.
The westbound lane of Route 13 is closed, but the eastbound lane is open to allow traffic to flow through the area.
The pilot was not injured and there appears to be little damage to the plane.
Virginia State Police and the Powhatan County Sheriff's Office are conducting the investigation.
