State Police Seek King William Bank Robbery Suspect

KING WILLIAM CO. – On the morning of Feb. 13, 2012, the Union First Market Bank in Manquin was robbed in the 3700 block of Route 360. A black male entered the bank and displayed a handgun and stole an undisclosed amount of money. The suspect was last seen leaving the area on foot. He is described as a black male between 40 and 50 years-of-age, between 5'10" and 6'0" tall weighing between 200 to 220 pounds. The suspect had a full beard and long dreadlocks that went below his shoulders. He was wearing a distinctive suede jacket with the letters LRG on the front with a tree symbol on the back and a light colored stocking cap.

On Tuesday Feb. 21, 2012, between 8:15 a.m. and 9:00 a.m., special agents, troopers, and sheriff's deputies will pass out fliers to motorists traveling eastbound on Route 360. Their goal is to help solicit information from motorists who were traveling through the area at the time of the bank robbery.

After speaking with witnesses and reviewing security camera footage from the bank, a composite sketch of the suspect was developed.
