Hopewell Police Seek Armed Robbery Suspect

Release from the Hopewell Police Department:

HOPEWELL, VA – On February 19, 2012 at approximately 10pm, officers from the Uniformed Patrol Division and members of the Criminal Investigation Division (C.I.D.) responded to the "Chanellos Pizza" business located at 906 Crossings Blvd for a report of an Armed Robbery. The preliminary investigation revealed that a black male offender dressed in all black clothing with a dark colored face covering, entered the business and after displaying a handgun, robbed the business of an undetermined amount of U.S. currency. The offender then fled the business on foot and was last seen heading towards Oaklawn Blvd. A coordinated search of the area by uniformed patrol, and members of the Criminal Investigation Division (C.I.D.) yielded no contact with the offender. The offender is described as follows:

Offender: B/M, 20-27 YOA, 5'4-5'5, 140 -170 pounds, last seen wearing a black hoodie sweatshirt, black in color jeans/pants and dark colored face covering.
