A Henrico mother is facing a felony charge in her infant son's February death.

Jasmine Norman is charged with felony child neglect in the death of her son, who was found dead in an apartment at the Oakmeade Apartments back in February.

Police have not released the infant's name. His cause of death has not been released. 

According to court documents, Norman told police she was in her kitchen fixing a pizza when she heard her son crying When she went to investigate, she said she found her 2-month-old baby in a "bouncy chair" with a bag over his head.

According to the documents, Norman said her baby was unresponsive, and had bloody fluid on his face, and she ran next door to call 9-1-1.

The child was eventually pronounced dead at VCU Medical Center.

Norman was arraigned in Henrico Juvenile and Domestic Relations court Thursday. She is being held without bond. Stay with 8News for updates.
