Pedestrian Struck, Injured, Charged In Richmond

A pedestrian was injured after being struck by a vehicle in downtown Richmond.

The pedestrian was struck in the intersection of 10th and Marshall just before 1:30 p.m. The victim was taken to the hospital with injuries Richmond Police officials said were not life-threatening.

Police officials told 8News witnesses said the victim was jaywalking, and the striking vehicle had a green light. The victim was ticketed at the hospital for failure to obey a controlled signal. 

The victim's name was not released.
