Suspect Sought After Violent Home Invasion In Henrico

HENRICO COUNTY - Police are still looking for a suspect after a violent late-night home invasion in Henrico County. 

Neighbors tell 8News two masked men with rifles burst into a family's Elderwood Drive home around 11:15 p.m. Monday, then ordered the victims to the ground and demanded money. The neighbor says one suspect hit a teenage boy in the head with the rifle, seriously injuring him.

The suspects fled the home after stealing jewelry and other items, according to the neighbor.

Officers arrested one of the suspects, a 16-year-old male, but the other is still on the loose.

Police believe he might have fled the scene on a dirt bike.

Henrico Police have not said whether the victims knew the suspects.
