UPDATE: Details Released On Man Found Dead In Car In New Kent
New Kent, VA--Police have released updated information on the body found in a car at New Kent rest area on June 23.
After responding to a suspicious vehicle report at the west-bound rest area at mile marker 214 in New Kent County shortly before 6 PM, police found a deceased male in the driver's seat of a 2008 Toyota Scion.
The car was parked in the front parking lot, towards the west end of the parking spaces. The rest area remained open during the investigation.
Police say the victim was a 22-year-old male from Potomac Falls, Virginia, but have not released his name or other details. Foul play is not suspected in this case, although an investigation into the cause and nature of death remains open.
The victim's body was transported to the Chief Medical Examiners Office in Richmond, and their official ruling of the cause of death is forthcoming.
