Chesterfield, VA—A man was arrested the evening of Saturday, June 23, after driving his truck onto the northbound railroad tracks at the Curtis Street crossing in Chester, VA.

The unidentified man, described as a white male in his early twenties, allegedly drove his burgundy GMC pickup truck directly onto the tracks. Chesterfield Police responded to the scene, and according to an officer, received the first call alerting them of the vehicle on the tracks shortly after 11 PM.

All trains were stopped until the vehicle was moved, and the crossing was closed for about an hour. The unnamed suspect was arrested and charged with Driving Under the Influence.
