Hopewell, VA—A
7-11 store in Hopewell
was robbed at knife point twice over the weekend, and police are seeking the
public's help to identify a suspect linked to the crimes.
The first robbery occurred Saturday June 30 at approximately
10:28 PM. The suspect, who is described as a 6 foot tall, bald male 30-40 years
of age, entered the store wearing a black tee-shirt and blue jeans. He
displayed a large kitchen knife before demanding money from store clerks. The
suspect proceeded to take money from the cash register, before fleeing the
business.
The second robbery took place Monday, July 2 at about 12:02
AM. In this incident, the suspect wore a blue shirt, white shoes, and either
khaki or blue shorts, and had a white tee-shirt wrapped around his face. He
brandished a large knife, demanded money, and took bills from the cash register
before fleeing the scene.
The suspect descriptions from both incidents are extremely
similar; so much so, in fact, that police believe both robberies may have been
committed by the same person.
Anyone with information about these robberies or the suspect
is asked to contact Hopewell/Prince George Crime Solvers at 804-541-2202.
