RICHMOND, VA—The southbound lanes of Interstate 95 at mile marker
78 were closed for around 30 minutes after a wreck Tuesday night.
Police said the accident occurred when the
driver of a pickup ran off the right-hand side of road and hit the guardrail before
traveling back onto the roadway and striking a tractor trailer in the center
lane.
Both drivers suffered minor injures and were
taken to VCU Medical Center.
The wreck happened just after 8:20 Tuesday
night, police said. The southbound lanes
were closed for about 30 minutes following the wreck, but have since reopened.
