One lane of Lee Davis Road in Mechanicsville is closed as crews work to repair a large sinkhole.
The hole was first reported before 8 a.m. on Lee Davis Road, just south of Mechanicsville Turnpike. Traffic has been reduced to one lane.
Heavy rains are to blame for the washout, VDOT officials said.
Repairs are expected to be completed sometime Tuesday afternoon. Expect delays in the area.
