VA— A mother who left her 4-year-old
child home alone has been charged with child neglect.
Cecily A Wimms, 21, of Highland Springs, was charged with
child neglect after police say she left her 4-year-old son alone with no adult
supervision.
Officers responded to a suspicious situation in the 700
block of Pleasant St.
just after 2:30 p.m. on June 7.
The child was found alone, with no adult supervision,
according to officers.
Wimms was charged July 9, following an investigation.
