Authorities have identified the teenager who drowned in the Falling Creek
Reservoir in Chesterfield
on Wednesday.
Allen D. Brown, 19, of Chesterfield County,
died while swimming with a group of people Wednesday.
Chesterfield Fire and EMS responded to
emergency calls in the 4200 block of October Road at 6:08 p.m.
When crews arrived on scene, a group of people told officers they had been
swimming, but decided to swim to shore when they saw a storm coming.
As Brown attempted to swim to shore, he suddenly sank
under the surface of the water and didn't resurface.
Crews recovered Brown's body at 6:48 p.m. Wednesday. He was pronounced dead
at the scene.
