Henrico Police Name Second Suspect In Fatal Shooting

HENRICO, VA—Police have named a second suspect in connection with the July 4 shooting death of a 17-year-old boy in Henrico County.

Detectives obtained arrest warrants for Jaron Alfonz Minnicks in relation to the shooting, Henrico Police said Friday.

Minnicks is wanted for conspiracy to commit murder and burglary.  He is described as a black male, 19 years old, 5'6", 160 pounds with black hair and brown eyes.

On July 13, police charged David L. Lawson, 23, 3100 block of Duncan Road, Henrico with conspiracy to commit murder in connect with the case.

Nathaniel Bryant, 17, of New Jersey was found shot to death behind an apartment building on July 4.

Police responded to reports of gunshots at Seven Gables Apartments in the 100 Block of N. Laburnum Ave. shortly before 7:00 p.m. July 4.

Henrico Police are asking anyone that may have witnessed this situation or that may have information regarding this matter to call Crime Stoppers at (804) 780-1000 or Henrico Police, Det. R. Egan at (804) 501-5000.
