UPDATE: Police have arrested a suspect in last week's vandalism and break-in at Swift Creek Middle School.
Police arrested the 17-year-old male suspect Saturday. His identity is being withheld because of his age.
The teen is charged with burglary, possession of burglary tools, grand
larceny and damaging public buildings. Police also think he may be connected to other area vandalisms, and more charges are pending.

MIDLOTHIAN, VA—Chesterfield Police are search for a suspect after Swift Creek Middle School was vandalized during an early morning breaking and entering.
Police responded to an alarm call at the school, located at 3700 Old Hundred Rd South, around 5:30 a.m. Tuesday.
A suspect was seen running from the school when police arrived. Police pursued the man on foot, but were unable to locate the suspect.
The suspect was described as a white male, approximately 15 to 17-year-old, 5'8" tall and about 140 pounds. He was wearing tan shorts and what appeared to be a black t-shirt wrapped about his head.
Exterior windows were smashed in, and police said there was property damage to the inside of the building.
