UPDATE: A missing Chesterfield man was found Wednesday evening, police said Thursday morning.

George Knight  Jr. was found in the area of the Ivymont Kroger store off of Midlothian Turnpike around 8:30 p.m. Wednesday. Police said he was unharmed.

UPDATE: Police have located a vehicle belonging to a man last seen Sunday, but he has not been located.

Police responded to the area near Winterfield Road and Midlothian Turnpike Wednesday afternoon after Dominion Virginia Power crews spotted George Knight Jr.'s vehicle. Investigators said the missing man wasn ot with the vehicle, but there were no signs of foul.

Police are searching the area with K-9 units and aircraft. Stay with 8News for updates.

Chesterfield County, VA—Police are searching for a Chesterfield man missing since Sunday.

George S. Knight, Jr., of the 3500 block of Pierson Drive, was last seen near his residence, driving his van, a 2000 Dodge Caravan with Virginia license plates reading "XDD5120."

Knight, a 61-year-old white male, stands about 5 feet 7 inches tall, and weighs approximately 230 pounds. He has brown eyes and gray hair.

Anyone with information about Knight's whereabouts is asked to contact Chesterfield County Police at 804-748-1251 or Crime Solvers at 804-748-0660. Alternately, individuals may text information to police, using the code "WATSON" and send to 274637 (CRIMES).
