Richmond, VA – Mayor Dwight C. Jones and the Washington Redskins' Summer Training Camp Steering Committee are offering a premium opportunity for a few select Richmond Redskins fans to attend the annual Redskins' Fan Appreciation Day in Ashburn, Virginia, this Saturday. The City has launched a contest with Richmond.com, where fans can enter a photo or video depicting why they are one of Richmond's Biggest Redskins Fans. Thirty-six people will get a seat on a bus scheduled to travel from Richmond to Ashburn and back on Saturday, August 4.
"The Redskins have invited the City to visit Ashburn for Fan Appreciation Day, and we wanted to extend that opportunity to a few lucky Richmond Redskins fans," said Mayor Jones. "This is an opportunity that developed quickly, and we are encouraging fans to enter right away for a chance to represent Richmond at this year's Fan Appreciation Day."
During Fan Appreciation Day, the Redskins will be providing priority access to the training camp viewing area, 80th Anniversary t-shirts and rally towels for all those traveling as a part of the Richmond group. Eighteen winners will be chosen from the contest and each will receive two VIP credentials to attend the event. Fans vying for a chance to attend have until the close of business on Wednesday, August 1 to submit their entries, as the contest ends at 5 p.m. that day. Winners will be notified by Thursday, August 2.
