Christina Feerick is the co-anchor of 8News at 5, 6, and 11 newscasts. After helping to launch Central Virginia's first weekend morning newscast, she was selected to anchor Good Morning Richmond Monday through Friday and served in that position for nearly 2 years.

A native of Charlotte, she graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill with a degree in Broadcast Journalism.

Christina's broadcasting experience includes live coverage of 9-11 at the Pentagon, the D.C. sniper attacks, the death of Dale Earnhardt and Hurricane Isabel.

She received her first taste of television working at KING5 TV in Seattle, but learned the in's and out's of the news business in Charlotte at WBTV. She says one of the best things about her job is the ability to share information that can change lives!

She enjoys reading, cooking and trying to perfect her green thumb. She is fortunate to be able to spend the mornings with her two young sons before putting in a full day's work in the newsroom.

Christina is active in our community and a local book club. She also volunteers with several organizations including: The American Cancer Society, The March of Dimes, organizations that prevent Domestic Violence against women, and a reading program for young children.

Though she spends more time in the newsroom than the kitchen, her specialty is peanut butter pie.

Keeping Richmond viewers informed of the issues which affect all of us strengthens Christina's passion for news.  Email Christina
