WASHINGTON (AP) - Artwork by more than 100 children from around the country, some of them disabled, is going on display at the Martin Luther King Jr. Memorial Library in Washington.
The exhibit will have a ribbon-cutting ceremony Wednesday. The artwork was selected in a juried competition organized by VSA, an affiliate of the Kennedy Center that was formerly known as Very Special Arts.
Students were asked to create artwork on the topic "What Inspires Me."
More than 3,000 students submitted artwork during the annual "All Kids Can Create" competition. Two students from each state and the District of Columbia were named winners, and some of the students have traveled to Washington for the exhibit's opening.
