Richmond, VA—Two people have been arrested in connection with the shooting death of a Richmond man on August 5.
Officers responded to the 1900 block of Whitcomb Street on August 5 at approximately 12:41 AM, after reports of shots fired. Upon arrival, police found 59-year-old George E. Clark suffering from a gunshot wound. Clark was transported to the hospital, and later died of his injuries.
On August 6, Kaliah K. Gresham, 22, and Tavon R. Ford, 23, both of the 1900 block of Whitcomb Street, were arrested in connection to the shooting. Both were charged with conspiracy to commit murder.
Investigators do not believe the shooting was a random act, and the investigation remains ongoing. Anyone with information about this incident is asked to contact Crime Stoppers at 804-780-1000.
