CHESTERFIELD, VA—Police are working to identify several women after discovering images of women on a recording device of a Chesterfield personal trainer.
Craig Lamont Kirkpatrick, 40, of the 5700 block of Harbour Ridge Rd, was arrested May 15, 2012 and charged with unauthorized filming of another and assault.
Police say Kirkpatrick secretly filmed a female client inside his home, where he works as a personal trainer.
In addition to video of the original victim, police located other videos and pictures of women who they have not yet identified, police said Thursday
Police are asking that women who have been in Kirkpatrick's home or gym contact the Chesterfield County Police Department at (804) 748-1268.
In June, Kirkpatrick spoke exclusively with 8News about the charges against him.
8News Reporter: "Did you record anyone?"
Kirkpatrick: "No, not at all. Not at all."
8News Reporter: "Is this is a misunderstanding?"
Kirkpatrick: "I would say it's a misunderstand, and that's all I have to say about that."
Craig Kirkpatrick released this statement to 8News:
"The recorder found by the woman was an audio recorder used to record 'audio' notes regarding clients progress, much like that used by a physician; not a video recorder. It was dropped by accident in the cleaning process, readying the bathroom for her use in between clients.
"Upon noticing the absence of the recorder, I went to ask her about it as she left, as the information on it is confidential to each client, and she proceeded to run into me with her car and then drag me down the road. I have pressed charges against her for theft and aggravated assault.
"The events and charges have been a surprise and I thank you for respecting our privacy."
