Dinwiddie, VA—Police have released the names of the two people killed when a vehicle struck a pedestrian in a Dinwiddie County on Sunday.
Eric D. McKenney, 19, of Dinwiddie was killed when a vehicle struck him early Sunday morning, police said. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of the vehicle, Erica M. Woodley, 29, of Prince George, was also flown to VCU Medical Center and later died, police said.
Two passengers in the vehicle were also injured in the wreck. They were flown to VCU Medical Center with life-threatening injuries, according to authorities.
The wreck happened on Route 460 in Dinwiddie County at approximately 2:28 a.m. Police said a Toyota Camry traveling eastbound ran off the left side of the roadway and struck the McKenney before running off the road and striking a tree.
Police said McKenney been walking in the roadway before the accident.
