CHESTERFIELD, VA-Attorneys for the Chesterfield man and Marine veteran who was detained after posting questionable messages to his Facebook wall, said they plan to file a civil lawsuit against the government officials involved in their client's detainment.
Attorneys for The Rutherford Institute said Wednesday they are preparing to file a civil lawsuit against government officials who were involved in the arrest and detainment of Brandon J. Raub.
Raub was taken into custody August 16, 2012 and was detained in a psychiatric ward from August 16 to August 23 after posting the messages to his Facebook wall.
A Hopewell County judge order Raub's release after ruling the case against Raub was devoid of any factual allegations, and therefore should not proceed.
